Lorem ipsum etc. Intend to put in actual text describing my experience here. This page is focused on learning exclusively about floats, not the more modern flexboxes.

Floats are best for magazine style layouts, where text flows around boxes and images. I believe that floats are only able to handle reclangular objects. Making grids is also cludgy as hell for anything “complicated” like a grid. Floats are good for legacy browsers, and the principles learned in this chapter of the tutorial will apply even to flexboxes, but given that we've reached critical mass of support, flexboxes were the tutorial's recommendation. Unsure of precise browser requirments to support flexboxes; not likely to be an actual issue unless you get into esoteric stuff I bet. But floats are still the best way to makde text flow around a box.

Putting overflow: hidden; also can make things fall entirely next to the float I think. Not quite sure of how or why from that demonstration, so I will have to investigate further.
